Any touch screen device is susceptible to screen damage by impacts and scratches.This is a well built product, but it doesn't fit the U73T GPS perfectly.There is a removable spacer Velcro on the bottom, but the Velcro tab is a bit too long without the splitter, and a little too short with it installed. But this is a minor issue.This padded case is good and you can save big money by preventing damage screen. Now, as far as the GPS unit itself goes, STAY AWAY!!! See my review of the U73T..
